Waste Evacuation
The Jabsco 18590 series DC macerator pump unit is the ideal solution for emptying marine holding tanks when not in a discharge restricted area. Self priming to 5ft this pump will empty a typical 30 gallon (115 Liter) holding tank in less than 3 minutes. Duty cycle of the pump is 15 minutes continuous which means a 180 gallon (680 liter) can be emptied in a single operation

It is recommended that holding tanks be flushed with several gallons of water after each pump out. This will reduce the possibility of a continued build up of sediment in the tank which could cause a potential blockage.

Fish Box and Livewell Tank Evacuation
The Jabsco Macerator Pump is the ideal pump for the emptying of Fish box and livewell receptacles. Very often the livewell tank will be above the waterline of the boat, when this is the case gravity can be used to empty the livewell tank. If not installed in this format then it is beneficial to use the Jabsco macerator pump for evacuation due to its self-priming capabilities and also it’s grinding properties.

Fish boxes are typically mounted into the floor of the vessel and are very often below the waterline or only partially above the waterline. Again the Jabsco Macerator pump has the characteristics that lend themselves to this application. The bait residue particles of ice, fish scales and anything else that could potentially be found in the Fish-Box will be easily passed buy the Jabsco Macerator Pump, and the self priming capabilities are perfect for fish box installations common to many of today’s sports fishing boats.

Accumulator Tank

This Accumulator Tank is intended for installation in any pumped water system controlled by a pressure switch. For example, PAR-MATE 2.5 or any Jabsco pressure pumps as found in boats, RV’s, motor caravans, coaches and similar applications.

The Accumulator Tank smoothes water flow and reduces on/off cycling of the pump by lessening the variation in pressure and flow between the pump and the outlets in the system.

The even flow of water gives better control of hot water temperature especially noticeable with instantaneous gas water heaters and with showers.

The reduced on/off cycling reduces noise from the pump motor, and from shock pressures (pipe hammer). It also reduces battery drain, and gives longer pump life.

Waste Management System

Jabsco’s NEW Type 3 Waste Management System provides an easy-to-install, all-inclusive solution consisting of a compact polyethylene holding tank and an integral Run-Dry Macerator Pump. The system has a touch-pad control panel to monitor waste levels and when required the user can activate the macerator pump to evacuate waste.

Y-Valve

The Jabsco Y-Valve is designed to provide flexibility of onboard waste management by diverting waste either into an onboard holding tank or directly overboard where legal to do so. Check local and Federal regulations to determine where direct overboard discharge of untreated waste is permitted. No overboard discharge of untreated waste is allowed within three miles of shore.

Some near shore areas and inland areas are designated as "No-Discharge Zones" where the discharge of any onboard waste, even treated waste is strictly prohibited. Many of these areas require a waste retention system that can be positively secured in an onboard retention mode. The Jabsco Y- Valve accommodates this requirement by providing the ability to add a padlock that secures the selector handle in either direction to ensure waste is directed to an onboard holding tank. The Y-Valve may also be used to direct waste from a holding tank to an onboard waste discharge pump for holding tank evacuation or, alternatively, to a waste deck plate for removal by a shoreside pump-out facility.

The Y- Valve may also be used in a bilge pumping system to select between two separate bilge pickups in different bilge compartments providing for evacuation of two separate bilge areas with only one bilge pump.

Run-Dry Macerator Waste Pump

WASTE EVACUATION

The Jabsco 18590 series DC macerator pump unit is the ideal solution for emptying marine holding tanks when not in a discharge restricted area. Self priming to 5ft this pump will empty a typical 30 gallon (115 Liter) holding tank in less than 3 minutes. Duty cycle of the pump is 15 minutes continuous which means a 180 gallon (680 liter) can be emptied in a single operation

It is recommended that holding tanks be flushed with several gallons of water after each pump out. This will reduce the possibility of a continued build up of sediment in the tank which could cause a potential blockage.

FISH BOX AND LIVEWELL TANK EVACUATION

The Jabsco Macerator Pump is the ideal pump for the emptying of Fish box and livewell receptacles. Very often the livewell tank will be above the waterline of the boat, when this is the case gravity can be used to empty the livewell tank. If not installed in this format then it is beneficial to use the Jabsco macerator pump for evacuation due to its self-priming capabilities and also it’s grinding properties.

Fish boxes are typically mounted into the floor of the vessel and are very often below the waterline or only partially above the waterline. Again the Jabsco Macerator pump has the characteristics that lend themselves to this application. The bait residue particles of ice, fish scales and anything else that could potentially be found in the Fish-Box will be easily passed buy the Jabsco Macerator Pump, and the self priming capabilities are perfect for fish box installations common to many of today’s sports fishing boats.
