Prevent fuel system contamination - Daily preventative maintenance for diesel fuel.
The daily buildup of condensation in a diesel fuel system can lead to fuel contamination through bacteria growth. Parker’s new Fuel Polishing Module combats the daily accumulation of water in diesel fuel systems, preventing corrosion and other system problems. Parker’s FPM-050 is optimized to remove emulsified water from the fuel system, preventing common fuel issues and maximizing the effectiveness of current filters.
Features & Benefits:
Provides maximum fuel system reliability by removing entrained moisture and accumulated contaminants.
Keeps fuel dry, promoting a bacteria-free environment and preventing contaminant build-up.
Reduces the need for expensive fuel treatments and additives.
Uses solid state pump technology, consuming only 150 mA, minimizing battery drain and enabling continuous fuel maintenance. Can be run from a small solar panel.
Allows for fuel maintenance during engine down time and off-season storage.
Easy to install and operate; incorporates automatic, full-flow bypass valve, eliminatnig the need for manual switching.
Low Power Preventative Maintenance The FPM-050’s solid state pump consumes only 150mA at 12 VDC, less than 2 W of power. The FPM-050 can even be powered by a small, optional solar panel, leaving no net drain on your batteries. By installing the optional programmable controller, you can schedule preventative fuel maintenance. Simply program the FPM-050 to perform regular maintenance while you are away to keep fuel dry and to prevent contaminants from accumulating in the fuel system. Then, you can arrive confidently at the marina after weeks away and know that your fuel is freshly filtered and your boat is ready to get underway.
Retrofit into Virtually Any System! This versatile fuel maintenance solution can be installed in multiple configurations to maximize reliability. The module is designed for easy retrofitting into existing diesel fuel systems, whether inline with the main fuel filter/water separator, or as part of a dedicated fuel maintenance loop. In either configuration, regular use of Parker’s new FPM-050 while the engine is idle helps prevent contaminants from accumulating in the fuel system by continuously removing moisture from the fuel.

PARKER ANODIZED 12VDC TIMER CONTROLLER FOR FPM & OTHER 12V
FPM Series Timer/Controller for Fuel Polishing Module
Perform Unattended Fuel System Maintenance
This programmable timer/controller enables flexible scheduling of the fuel system maintenance performed by Parker’s Fuel Polishing Module. The timer’s intuitive operation makes programming the timer quick and easy using push buttons and simple display prompts. In addition, the timer’s lithium ion batter provides up to 5 years of life before it requires replacement.
Features:
Highly customizable schedule capability uses up to 56 weekly switching cycles (up to 8 distinct cycles per day)
Manual override feature eliminates the need for an additional helm switch.
Splash proof enclosure available in black anodized aluminum or stylish brass finish
Surface- or flush-mountable enclosure for easy installation
Programmable Timer Features:
12 hour and 24 hour display options
8 daily switching cycles
1 minute minimum cycle time
Skip-a-day function to skip over one day’s pre-programmed cycles
Manual override switch for manual on/off control
Other Applications: Additional programmable timer/controllers (FPM-PTC-12) can also be used to control other devices installed in the onboard DC electrical system. The FPM-PTC-12 can be used to switch any 12 VDC device that draws up to 12 A (at 25 deg. C or 16 A at 45 deg. C).
Anchor Lights - never worry about leaving your lights running all day and draining your batteries.
Cabin Lights - for added security and safety when reboarding from tender at night.
Powered Ventilation - keep cabin air fresh by automatically circulating fresh air in and stale air out.
Fans - save power by turning off fans during the night as the boat cools down.

The Racor 500 Series is a popular drop-in fuel filter.
Fuel filters are usually characterized by two ratings. The first is the micron size. One micron is equal to forty millionths of an inch.
Typical filter ratings are 2, 5, 10 and 20 microns. The micron rating is also characterized by a percentage. In other words, a 2 micron filter will remove up to 98 percent of particles that are 2 microns and larger.
The second rating is the flow capacity, expressed in Gallons Per Hour (GPH). This is the number of gallons that will pass through a filter at a specified pressure drop using clean fuel in one hour.
