Second Station Remote Telephone Handset (controls functions of Class D VHFs)

The VH-310 is a submersible telephone handset capable of remotely controlling all radio and DSC functions of Standard Horizon Class D DSC VHFs. When connected to MATRIX GX3000S, PHANTOM PS2000 or QUANTUM SERIES allows remote control PA and FOG signaling. Additional features include Intercom from the VH-310 to the connected radio, and intercom capability from between remote microphones and the connected radio. The VH-310 can be extended using the CT-100 23-foot extension cable to 70-feet. Supplied with a wall mount cradle; routing cable and a waterproof panel mount connector. For the ease of adding an external speaker, a pair of speaker wires is supplied on the rear of the routing cable so you do not need to pull additional wires.

Two 30 Watt PA Outputs, One Forward One Aft

• Twice the power with two 30 watt PA outputs. You can connect one PA forward and one aft, or transmit out of both simultaneously. Four foghorn signals can be used depending on the conditions, or use the bells, whistles, horn or siren.

• Two intercom connections allow you to stay connected to everyone on board. It allows you to toggle between IC1 and IC2. When connected to the optional MLS-300i you now have intercom communication at it’s best.

• Be heard! Four foghorn options allow automatic foghorn operation. Select the foghorn you need based on the navigation situation you are in. The VLH-3000 has all the functions you need including bells, whistles, horns, and sirens.

• The VLH-3000 is designed to keep a uniform look on your boat when used in conjunction with the CP180 and GX3000S.

• Two mounting options are available. Bracket mount with the bracket and knobs included, or use the optional MMB-84 to flush mount in to a bulkhead.

• With the bold Dot Matrix display there is no mistaking the information. The contrast and brightness can be adjusted for situations where the radio cannot be mounted directly in front of you.

• The GX5000S meets the international requirements for Class D with a separate Channel 70 receiver, which allows DSC calls to be received even when listening to traffic on Marine VHF channels. The DSC DISTRESS function when activated transmits a digital MAYDAY including vessel identification, Latitude / Longitude and time (with GPS connected), to facilitate prompt response. Additional calls that can be made are Individual, Urgency and Safety.

• The standard hand microphone has a built in speaker and uses Noise canceling technology called ClearVoice for unsurpassed communications even in the noisiest environments. This microphone also has the capability to directly switch between channels 16 and 9, change channels with the large UP/Down keys and can be removed for storage. The microphone may be remoted with the MEK-4 extension kit for custom installations. The MEK-4 contains 20Ft or routing cable, Stainless Steel panel mount and screws.

• The GX5000S includes a 30W Loud Hailer with Fog signals; Bells and Whistles with listen back. For added benefit, the last selected VHF channel is can be heard when in the PA or Fog mode.

• All of the features of the main radio can now be accessed through the optional RAM+ speaker microphone (CMP25) or VH-310 telephone style handset. With a RAM+ or VH-310 connected, the GX5000S becomes an intercom system allowing two way private communications.

• This unique feature allows the treble and bass of the speaker audio to be adjusted for best listening. The effect is similar to adjusting the treble and bass controls on a stereo.

• With the 2.25 inch oversized internal audio speaker you will have no problem hearing communications even in the loudest conditions.

Have an AIS receiver or transponder on your vessel? The GX2000 MATRIX is the perfect radio of choice for you! When the MATRIX is connected to a AIS receiver or transponder (with VDM AIS sentence output at 38400 baud) the display will show AIS targets simply by pressing the dedicated AIS key. The MATRIX will display AIS MMSI, Call Sign, Ship Name, BRG, DST, SOG and COG and will allow you to contact an AIS Ship directly using DSC, show your vessels position in relation to AIS targets and alert you when an AIS ship may be approaching to close to your location via the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) Alarm.

The MATRIX is capable of entering and saving up to 100 waypoints. These waypoints may be selected and navigated to by using a unique navigation compass display that shows your vessels SOG, COG, BRG (Bearing) and DST (Distance) to the waypoint when connected to an external GPS.
