Remote Key Fob

Maretron's remote key fob allows you to control and monitor certain features of your vessel remotely, such as powering on/off specific systems or switching between different modes like "Sleep Mode". 12 Circuit Bypass Module NMEA 2K with Fuse Pack & Jumper Wire

For manual control of the loads, an optional MPower® 12-Channel Bypass Module (CBMD12) can be installed in conjunction with the 12-Channel DC Load Controller Module (CLMD12). The maximum current capacity for the CBMD12 is 75 amps in 12V DC and 24V DC power systems.

The Bypass Module provides a manual method (ON/OFF switch) to control loads by providing power to each load in case of a CLMD12 malfunction or a NMEA 2000® network failure. The CBMD12 utilizes standard fuses for overcurrent protection and 12 Carling Curvette® Rocker Switches for manual control of each load. With the use of the Curvette rocker switches, there is no arcing that occurs while manually overriding a load. Furthermore, unlike other digital switching products, MPower does not require moving a fuse, which can cause electrical connections to degrade or the possibility of ignition.

It’s important to ensure that the current rating of the fuse for each load is appropriate to protect the load and the wiring for that load. Please note that the bypass module does not support paralleled outputs, since each circuit is controlled by a separate switch. Additionally, the bypass module does not support dimming of circuits.

SMS Text Module - North America

Maretron's SMS200 is a cellular modem that offers text message notifications from your vessel’s NMEA 2000® network to your phone. The SMS200 works together with Maretron's dedicated displays – DSM Series Displays or N2KView® based software running on either the MBB Series Black Box, TSM Series Touchscreen Displays, or a PC, to define programmable alert conditions from sensors interconnected on an NMEA 2000® network. The DSM Displays or N2KView® software instructs the SMS200 to connect to the cellular network and transmit an alert message to selected telephone numbers. Whether it is high bilge water, low battery voltage, unplugged shore power, or an opened hatch or door, the SMS200 quickly alerts you to conditions on board your vessel that require attention anywhere you have cellular network coverage. 

You can also send a text message to your vessel and, with the proper sensors installed, the SMS200 will respond with status information including the vessel’s position, bilge status, battery voltage, shore power voltage, wind speed, inside temperature, and outside temperature. Additionally, N2KView can be configured to respond to text messages with more complex sentences to allow you to query virtually any NMEA 2000 parameter. You can specify command strings and the text of the corresponding response messages with parameters that are replaced dynamically by their values when the response message is sent.

The CLMD16 also supports two H-Bridge reversing polarity circuits that can be used for loads such as engine hatches, passerelles, trim tabs, etc. The CLMD16 has 8 inputs for hard-wired switches that can be used to switch breaker states, or as inputs for other data, such as bilge alarms or hatch positions, etc. There are 3 inputs capable of monitoring tank levels.

The CLMD16 handles many DC load types such as lights, pumps, motors, and electronics. An added benefit of the CLMD16 is that it reports the current through each of the 16 breakers. This allows you to determine if loads are drawing too much or too little electrical current. MPower® 16-Channel DC Load Controller Module with NMEA 2K without Connectors

For larger breakers and more circuits, the MPower® CLMD16 is a 16-Channel DC Load Controller Module. Four of the 16 breakers handle a maximum of 25 amps, and twelve breakers handle a maximum of 12 amps, with a total current capacity of 125 Amps. Additionally, circuits can be paralleled.

The CLMD16 also supports two H-Bridge reversing polarity circuits that can be used for loads such as engine hatches, passerelles, trim tabs, etc. The CLMD16 has 8 inputs for hard-wired switches that can be used to switch breaker states, or as inputs for other data, such as bilge alarms or hatch positions, etc. There are 3 inputs capable of monitoring tank levels.

The CLMD16 handles many DC load types such as lights, pumps, motors, and electronics. An added benefit of the CLMD16 is that it reports the current through each of the 16 breakers. This allows you to determine if loads are drawing too much or too little electrical current. This information can be used to report overcurrent faults and undercurrent conditions, such as burnt-out bulbs.

Submersible Pressure Transducer 0-3 PSI

Maretron’s submersible pressure transducers indicate tank levels and can be installed directly in the tank. Please follow these instructions to mount and connect a submersible pressure transducer to an NMEA 2000® network via a Maretron FPM100 Fluid Pressure Monitor. Maretron recommends one of two methods for mounting a submersible pressure transducer in a tank: 1) without a restraining tube, and 2) with a restraining tube.

The submersible pressure transducers are designed for a tank with a 5-hole SAE J1810 fitting at the top. Install the mounting plate with cord grip onto the transducer cable, with the rounded hex section of the cord grip facing away from the transducer.

Lower the pressure transducer into the tank such that the transducer lies at the lowest point of the tank and tighten the cord grip to secure the cable. On a tank with a flat bottom, the transducer may slide from side to side with the motion of the vessel but will not rotate due to the stiffness of the cable. It is also possible to mount the pressure transducer inside a restraining or focus tube (sold separately, Maretron part number TFT-5H).

Pressure Transducer Mounting

Connect the two wires of the pressure transducer to a free pressure monitoring channel. Connect the red wire from the pressure transducer to the channel’s positive (+) terminal and connect the black wire from the pressure transducer to the negative (-) terminal of the channel. The example in Figure 1 shows the pressure transducer connected to switch channel 0, with the white wire connected to "P0+" and the brown wire connected to "P0-." Submersible pressure transducers have a small plastic vent tube in the connecting cable.

Use a Maretron DSM Series Display (firmware 1.4.7 or higher) or a PC running Maretron’s N2KAnalyzer software (version 1.4.19 or higher) to configure the connected channel(s) on the FPM100.

Supply power to the NMEA 2000 network and verify that the pressure channel indicates a valid pressure reading.

Submersible Pressure Transducer - 0-1.5 PSI

The submersible pressure transducers are used together with Maretron’s Fluid Pressure Monitor (FPM100), which allows tank fluid level to be broadcast over an NMEA 2000® network where it can be monitored from any compatible NMEA 2000® display. When used together with Maretron displays, alerts can be set to inform the user of low or high tank levels. Users can be notified through emails or text messages about their tank levels when not onboard the vessel. Additionally, the tank levels can be stored using Maretron’s data recorder (VDR100) for later analysis.

This pressure transducer is designed to connect to the NMEA 2000® network via a Maretron FPM100 Fluid Pressure Module.

Installation:

Ultrasonic Wind & Weather Antenna

Maretron’s outdoor weather station measures wind speed and direction, air temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. The wind measurement is performed using ultrasonic sensors, which means there are no moving parts to wear out or get caught in the rigging.

The WSO200 accurately measures wind speed and direction under a tilt of up to 30°, making it ideal for sail as well as power conditions.

Vessel Data Recorder Includes M003029 VDR100

Maretron’s Vessel Data Recorder (VDR100) is used to record messages transmitted from every product interconnected on the vessel’s NMEA 2000® network. Each message is stored using solid-state memory technology with simple data retrieval via a removable USB flash drive. The supplied 16 Gbyte USB Flash Drive will hold weeks or more of data, and with the optional purchase of a larger USB Flash Drive, a year or more of data can be stored. And you never have to worry about losing the most recent data because the VDR100 uses a circular buffer where the oldest data is overwritten only after the entire memory is filled.

Recorded vessel data can be used in many ways including performance analysis, vessel tracking, preventative maintenance, network diagnostics, warranty incident, and accident investigation, all in an effort to reduce operating cost and improve safety. As an example of how the recorded data might be used, consider an NMEA 2000® fuel flow monitor plugged into the network, which will provide a complete record of how much fuel was used and how fast it was used. With a GPS antenna/receiver plugged into the NMEA 2000® network, you will have a complete record of where the vessel has been including its speed and course over ground.

Analyzing and graphing recorded data is done using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft® Excel®. Simply remove the USB Flash Drive and plug it into a PC or Mac and run Maretron’s free extraction software (N2KExtractor®). Choose any or all of the recorded data including the associated dates and times and the program will create a comma delimited file (.csv) that can be read into a spreadsheet for graphing or any other type of data analysis.

With the VDR100, you have a complete record of all the information produced by NMEA 2000® products connected to the vessel’s network. And because the VDR100 is engineered and manufactured to the highest standards (IEC 60945 Maritime Navigation and Radio Communication Equipment), your data is safely protected in a compact waterproof housing.

The TSM810C is an 8" dedicated touchscreen that includes Maretron’s N2KView® vessel monitoring and control software. SAE 5-Bolt Pattern Focus Tube w/Dead Band Eliminator

Focus tubes allow the TLM100/TLM150 ultrasonic tank level monitors to be used for level measurement on vessels with non-displacement hulls at up to 15° of pitch or roll, compared to 6° pitch or roll for the sensor alone.
